As November approaches… في تشرين الثاني / نوفمبر النهج…

In this election season, thinking about presidential candidates is important, but thinking on a localized level is much more important. في هذه الانتخابات الموسم ، والتفكير في المرشحين لرئاسة الجمهورية مهم ، ولكنه التفكير على المستوى المحلي هو اهم بكثير. People must understand that, while the president is an important figurehead in the world, he has little to do with the changes and policies of our cities. ويجب أن يفهم الناس انه في حين ان الرئيس الرمز هامة في العالم ، وقال انه لا علاقة له التغيرات والسياسات من مدننا. Even at the state level, the president does not make many of the decisions that affect our lives. حتى على مستوى الدولة ، فان الرئيس لا تجعل الكثير من القرارات التي تؤثر على حياتنا. Our governors make a great many of the decisions having to do with education, labor laws, and other things within our states. لدينا حكام جعل عدد كبير من القرارات التي لها علاقة والتعليم ، وقوانين العمل ، وغيرها من الاشياء التي تقع داخل دولنا.

There are those who believe the primary job of the church should stay in the compartmentally religious sector, but as Christians we should not see the secular-sacred divide. هناك من يعتقد من الوظائف الاساسية للكنيسة يجب ان تبقى في قطاع compartmentally الدينية ، ولكن لا ينبغي لنا ان المسيحيين انظر العلمانية - تقسيم المقدسة. All things that we do should be done to the glory of God. جميع الاشياء التي ينبغي ان نقوم به ينبغي القيام به لمجد الله. All things that we say should be done to the glory of God. كل شيء ان نقول ينبغي القيام به لمجد الله.

So as a Christian who wants to get involved in the world, I have a few simple suggestion that—while some of these may make us uncomfortable—are some ways we can “be the church” to the world around us. وذلك من مسيحي يريد التورط في العالم ، ولدى بضعة اقتراحا بسيطا - في حين ان بعض هؤلاء قد تجعلنا غير مريحه - بعض الطرق التي يمكننا أن "الكنيسة" الى العالم من حولنا.

1. House a homeless person with no conditions off the streets. أ لا مأوى لهم منزل شخص دون اية شروط من الشوارع. If you want a good story that embodies this read Les Miserables. اذا كنت تريد ان قصة جيدة ويجسد هذا نصها ليه miserables.
2. Go to a board of education meeting to learn about the struggles in the community and make friends with those on the board. اذهب الى اجتماع مجلس التعليم لمعرفة المزيد عن الصراعات في المجتمع وصداقات مع هؤلاء على المجلس.
3. Have a meeting with the mayor of your city to discuss how your local church can help make this city a better place. وقد عقد اجتماع مع عمدة مدينة الخاصة بك لمناقشة كيف يمكن للكنيسة محلية تساعد على جعل هذه المدينة مكانا أفضل.
4. Have your services outside on the church lawn, and convert your sanctuary into a place to house the homeless and the aliens with a full soup kitchen that serves meals daily and provides them with eschatological hope in Jesus Christ and his kingdom. وقد خدماتك خارج على الكنيسة في الحديقة ، وتحويل الملجأ الخاص بك الى مكان لايواء المشردين والاجانب مع كامل حساء ان يخدم المطبخ وجبة يوميا وتوفر لهم eschatological الامل في يسوع المسيح ومملكته.

6. Read يقرأ this story هذه القصة about Burmese immigrants and find out if there are similar situations in your hometown. البورميه عن المهاجرين ومعرفة ما اذا كانت هناك حالات مماثلة في مسقط الخاصة بك. If there are, find ways to help them in more ways that simply giving them money. واذا كانت هناك ، وايجاد السبل لمساعدتهم في طرق اكثر لمجرد ان يعطيهم المال.
7. Volunteer your time at a local food bank. تطوع بوقتك الاغذيه المحلية في البنك.
8. Begin a small group that meets in the home throughout the week. تبدأ مجموعة صغيرة ان تجتمع في المنزل طوال الاسبوع. Every other week you should meet to pray, fellowship, and study God’s word. مرة كل اسبوعين يجب ان يجتمع للصلاة ، زماله ، ودراسة كلمة الله. On the other two alternating weeks, find a place that you and your team and serve directly in the community. من جهة اخرى اثنين اسابيع بالتناوب ، يجد لنفسه مكانا في ان لديك ولدى الفريق وبشكل مباشر في خدمة المجتمع المحلي.
9. Throw away your TV and spend all the time you would be watching TV reading books on economic, social, and political issues to be an informed citizen. صلخت التليفزيون الخاصة بك وانفاق كل الوقت وسيكون لكم مشاهدة التلفزيون قراءة الكتب المعنية بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية ، والقضايا السياسية التي يتعين ان علم المواطن.
10. Sell something of great value to you, and give the money away by taking those who can’t repay you out to lunch and dinner where you dream together about what the kingdom of God should like in our world. بيع شيء من قيمة كبيرة لكم ، واعطاء المال بعيدا عن طريق اتخاذ تلك من انك لا تستطيع سداد اصل الى الغداء والعشاء حيث تحلم معا حول ما ينبغي ان مملكة الله لدينا مثل في العالم.

Notice that none of my suggestions simply allow someone to throw money at a “cause.” If we are the church, then we ourselves should embody Jesus Christ as Lord day in and day out. ملاحظه ان أيا من الاقتراحات بلادي ببساطة تسمح لشخص ما رمي المال في "القضية". واذا كان لنا الكنيسة ، ثم نحن انفسنا ينبغي ان تجسد الرب يسوع المسيح كما يوما بعد يوم.
