An Invitation to Christarchy! (coming May 5th)
Written by Mark Van Steenwyk : April 5, 2007
Christarchy is a monthly gathering for people who believe Christ calls us to follow him down a radical path. What Jesus invites us into isn’t simply beliefs, but a revolutionary, transformational way of living life. Jesus subverts the expectations. He is a friend to wretches and whores and outcasts. He challenges the economic, political, social, and religious status quo. Christarchy is a gathering for those who want to follow Jesus the subversive Servant-King in the Twin Cities.
WHAT: A monthly gathering where we explore what it means to live out the Gospel in our different corners of the metro area.
WHO: Christarchy is open to anyone who is interested in following Jesus’ radical example. Come one, come all.
WHEN: 8pm on Saturday, May 5th, 2007.
WHERE: The house of Mark Van Steenwyk (who will coordinate the first gathering of Christarchy).
3312 31st Ave S
Minneapolis, MN 55406

Christarchy! is a growing network of small groups for people who want to put the ethical teachings of Jesus into practice.
Submergent is a network of leaders who, embracing the Anabaptist impulse, are living into the Kingdom of God in a postmodern, post-colonial, post-Christian world. Together, we will re-baptize the Christian imagination!
Anchored in the West Bank neighborhood of Minneapolis, Missio Dei is committed to following Jesus' way of peace, simplicity, prayer, and hospitality.
The Missio Dei Breviary includes morning and evening prayers for one month. Edited (and freely shared) by Missio Dei, it draws primarily upon the Gospels, reflects Anabaptist convictions, and emphasizes missional commitment.
