Welcome to Jesus Manifesto 2.0
Written by Mark Van Steenwyk : October 22, 2007
Today marks a new beginning for jesusmanifesto.com. Today this blog is no longer the online soapbox for one man; today it is an entire stage made out of the soapboxes of many. ![]()
We’ve gathered a number of diverse voices (though not as diverse as we would have liked) to speak with one voice–a prophetic voice. Together, we want to explore how to live faithfully in the American Empire. We aren’t satisfied with the way things have been; instead, we want to push the prophetic edge as we seek to embody the Kingdom Vision as we try to wake up from the American Dream.
For those of you who have been following this blog for a while and are worried that I (Mark Van Steenwyk) will write less: don’t worry. I fully intend to write as much as ever. I intend to write 3-5 times a week. But others will join the fray. In the next two weeks, you’ll be introduced to a number of new authors. Each time a new author publishes their first post, I’ll include a bio at the end of that post.
Welcoming you to the new Jesus Manifesto,
Mark Van Steenwyk

Christarchy! is a growing network of small groups for people who want to put the ethical teachings of Jesus into practice.
Submergent is a network of leaders who, embracing the Anabaptist impulse, are living into the Kingdom of God in a postmodern, post-colonial, post-Christian world. Together, we will re-baptize the Christian imagination!
Anchored in the West Bank neighborhood of Minneapolis, Missio Dei is committed to following Jesus' way of peace, simplicity, prayer, and hospitality.
The Missio Dei Breviary includes morning and evening prayers for one month. Edited (and freely shared) by Missio Dei, it draws primarily upon the Gospels, reflects Anabaptist convictions, and emphasizes missional commitment.

I just read the five newest posts from this new collective of Christ-bearers (i.e. bloggers at jesusmanifesto) and had to let you know how impressed I am by the genuine passion, radical conviction and uncompromising depth of the posts. I look forward to many more.
More fire!
