Walking in a Divided Land
Written by Mark Van Steenwyk : November 3, 2004
It appears that the dividedness in our nation will continue for a while. Keep these words in mind as you start feeling that urge to judge your brother or sister who is “on the other side of the aisle:”
By means of his one Spirit, we all said good-bye to our partial and piecemeal lives. We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which he has the final say in everything. (This is what we proclaimed in word and action when we were baptized.) Each of us is now a part of his resurrection body, refreshed and sustained at one fountain–his Spirit–where we all come to drink. The old labels we once used to identify ourselves–labels like Jew or Greek, slave or free [or Republican or Democrat]–are no longer useful. We need something larger, more comprehensive. 1 Corinthians 12:13, MSG

Christarchy! is a growing network of small groups for people who want to put the ethical teachings of Jesus into practice.
Submergent is a network of leaders who, embracing the Anabaptist impulse, are living into the Kingdom of God in a postmodern, post-colonial, post-Christian world. Together, we will re-baptize the Christian imagination!
Anchored in the West Bank neighborhood of Minneapolis, Missio Dei is committed to following Jesus' way of peace, simplicity, prayer, and hospitality.
The Missio Dei Breviary includes morning and evening prayers for one month. Edited (and freely shared) by Missio Dei, it draws primarily upon the Gospels, reflects Anabaptist convictions, and emphasizes missional commitment.
