Missive da manhã: MARCA CAMIONETE STEENWYK - HYPOCRITE

Em contudo um outro exemplo do hypocrisy entre o movimento emergente da igreja, Marca Camionete Steenwyk, o proponent outspoken de um retorno Monastic novo ao Whore de idades escuras de Roma, demonstrou que não pratica o que preaches.

O último fim de semana, marca convidado graciously me para experimentar um gosto de his Missio Dei Comunidade Monastic nova. Um grupo de povos hospedavam um chuveiro do bebê para a marca e seu Amy da esposa como se prepara para sua primeira criança. Meus esposa e eu decidimo-nos prayerfully atender ao evento, nas esperanças que nós teríamos a oportunidade de trazer o Gospel verdadeiro na escuridão desta organização muito iludida.

Primeiramente fora, eu devo admitir que os povos eram gracious e amando e pareço importar-se profundamente com um outro. Eu falei a um homem que, não tendo nenhum relacionamento com a comunidade de Missio Dei, foi convidado dentro viver com eles quando se submetia ao tratamento para o cancer. Outros falaram esperançosamente sobre como sua fé foi desafiada sendo parte desta “igreja”. Naturalmente, ninguém falaram sobre o gospel de povos salvando do atonement substitutionary do wrath do deus, assim qualquer coisa que pareceu bom era trabalhos bons simplesmente vazios.

O destaque (ou talvez o lowlight) da visita eram quando meu filho velho de cinco anos veio abaixo as escadas da casa da comunidade que carrega um fulgor na figura escura da ação de Jesus. Isto chocou-me e horrorizou-, dado particularmente o stance outspoken da marca de encontro a tais artigos.

The organizer of the Christianity in a Consumer Culture Conference and friend of the heretical Mustard Seed Associates has long opposed the sale of “Jesus junk” which he views as the “commodification of the faith.” These anti-capitalism, anti-democracy beliefs have marked Van Steenwyk as a critic of good solid Evangelical churches in America. In the wake of the Eliot Spitzer debacle, it is disappointing to see yet another leader fall into the same sins that they loudly protest. However, it is clear that Mark’s faith and convictions are just a show to bring more readers to his blog. While I congratulate Mark and Amy on the birth of their first child, I am saddened that their son will be born into this kind of pseudo-Christian hypocritical environment. Please pray with me that Mark will repent and return to Biblical faith.

Editor’s Note: This was a work of satire. I (the aforementioned “hypocrite”) think this is hilarious, though I must point out that any and all Jesus action figures located within my home are used purely for sermon illustrations. I have no idea how Deluxe Miracle Jesus ended up in the toy box…I swear.
