Come May, most of us tax paying citizens will be receiving a check in the mail. يأتي ايار / مايو ، معظمنا دفع الضرائب للمواطنين وسيتم استلام شيك في البريد الالكتروني. Now, regardless of whether you agree with capitalism, our government, or the Economic Stimulus package, the fact remains that you’ll be getting a check either way. الآن ، بغض النظر عما اذا كنت موافقا على الراسماليه ، فان حكومتنا ، او حزمة من الحوافز الاقتصادية ، تظل الحقيقة أن يمكنك الحصول على التحقق من هذا الاتجاه او ذاك. Now, the question becomes how to spend it. الان ، يصبح السؤال كيف ننفق عليه.
It’s true, once you get the check, it’s your money to do what you’d like with it, but the intent is that you spend it on consumer goods, thus stimulating the economy. صحيح أنه ، وبمجرد الحصول على الشيك ، انه اموالك ان تفعل ما تريد مع ذلك ، ولكن القصد من ذلك هو انك تنفق على السلع الاستهلاكيه ، مما حفز الاقتصاد. What an amazing opportunity to take make a statement flipping a value system on it’s head. ما مدهش الفرصة ليدلي ببيان التقليب نظام للقيم على انه رئيس. The money given with the intent of spending it on ourselves in our consumer society, thus stimulating our capitalist economy (thus saving us from impending doom) basically makes the statement that we can ‘Save Ourselves by Consuming.’ We have the opportunity to take that same resource and use it for good, clothing the needy, feeding the hungry, bringing justice to the captives. وبالنظر الى الاموال مع القصد من الانفاق على انفسنا ونحن في المجتمع الاستهلاكي ، ومن ثم تنشيط الاقتصاد الرأسمالي لدينا (وبالتالي توفير لنا من الموت الوشيك) اساسا يجعل من البيان الذي يمكننا ان 'انقاذ أنفسنا من قبل المستهلكه.' تتاح لنا الفرصة لاتخاذ تلك نفس الموارد واستخدامها من أجل الخير والملابس والمحتاجين وإطعام الجياع ، وتحقيق العدالة لاسرى.
I’d like to propose that come May, when you receive your rebate check, that you take a large portion of it (or all of it) and go on a Christ-honoring Giving Spree. على المستوى الشخصي اود ان اقترح ان تأتي ايار / مايو ، عندما كنت احصل على خصم فحص ، عليك ان جزءا كبيرا منه (أو كل من هو) والذهاب على تكريم السيد المسيح - اعطاء المرح. Here are some ideas: هذه هي بعض الافكار :
- Take some homeless people you meet out to a fancy restaurant. بعض الناس لا مأوى لهم تلتقون خياليه الى المطعم.
- Buy a شراء CSA وكالة الفضاء الكنديه Share for a needy family in your neighborhood. حصة لاسرة المحتاجه في حي الخاص بك.
- Purchase and give away شراء واعطاء بعيدا CFL Cfl Bulbs, Cloth Shopping Bags, Fair Trade Chocolate, Fair Trade Socks. اللمبات ، وقماش وأكياس التسوق والتجارة العادله والشوكولاته والتجارة العادله والجوارب.
- Host a Pizza Party for students at your neighborhood school. استضافة بيتزا الطرف للطلاب في مدرسة مجاورة لك.
- Sponsor a child for a year. رعايه الطفل لمدة عام.
- What’s your idea? ما هي فكرتك؟
If you’re interested in participating then click اذا كنت ترغب في المشاركة ثم انقر فوق here هنا and sign the Giving Spree pledge. والتوقيع على تعهد اعطاء المرح. The hope is to use a pledge to build some momentum to the Giving Spree. الأمل هو ان تستخدم لبناء تعهد بعض الزخم الى اعطاء المرح. Recognizing that the Economic Stimulus rebate checks we will receive in May sole purpose is to be spent to help stimulate the economy, we are willing to follow through, but not as expected. واذ تدرك ان من الحوافز الاقتصادية خصم الشيكات ونحن سوف تلقى في ايار / مايو وغرضها الوحيد هو ان تنفق للمساعدة على تنشيط الاقتصاد ، ونحن على استعداد للمتابعة ، ولكن ليس كما كان متوقعا.

The only way to stay ahead is to put the money into savings that will earn a rate of return equal to the inflation effects of the stimulus package. والطريقة الوحيدة للبقاء الى الأمام لوضع المال الى وفورات من شأنها ان تكسب معدل العائد على قدم المساواة الى تضخم اثار حافزا للمجموعة.
That said, I think giving away windfall income is an excellent idea. ومع ذلك ، اعتقد ان التخلي عن الايرادات المفاجءه فكرة ممتازة. Not that we have to. إلا أنه يتعين علينا. I think tithing on it is effective in bearing witness to the world. واعتقد العشاريه على ان يكون فعالا في شاهدا على العالم. But if you can do it with joy, give it all away! ولكن اذا كنت تستطيع ان تفعل ذلك مع الفرح ، واعطاؤها كل بعيدا!
Personally, we will tithe, pay off some debt, save some, and give some more of it away. شخصيا ، ونحن سوف عشر ، وسداد بعض الديون ، وانقاذ بعض ، واعطاء بعض من أكثر بعيدا.

Then they send us mail. ثم وجهوا الينا بالبريد. We wanted to send a one time gift, but almost all the good of it went into future mailings. لقد اردنا ان ترسل هدية وقت واحد ، ولكنها كلها تقريبا من انها جاءت جيدة من الرسائل في المستقبل. Along those lines it is a good idea to ask to be removed from other charity lists whom we don’t intend to give to. على غرار ذلك انها فكرة جيدة ان نسأل لشطبهم من قوائم أخرى من الصدقه ونحن لا ننوي اعطاء ل. The first thing that came to mind when I heard that the government was going to send out all these checks was to try to sabotage the intention - give the money away, but do so internationally, where it would have less impact on our economy. اول شيء ان يأتي الى الذهن عندما سمعت ان الحكومة تعتزم ارسال جميع هذه الشيكات هى محاولة لتخريب بنية -- اعطاء المال بعيدا ، ولكنها تفعل ذلك على الصعيد الدولي ، حيث ان اقل تأثير على اقتصادنا. Spending on consumer goods is part of what got us into the problems . الانفاق على السلع الاستهلاكيه هي جزء من ما حصل لنا في مشاكل. . . are we supposed to now fix ourselves by more of the same? هل نحن من المفترض ان يحدد الآن من قبل اكثر من أنفسنا ذاتها؟

Unfortunately I owe more money due to debt than I will get back, but this sounds like a really good idea and I wish I could be a part of it. ومما يؤسف له انني مدين المزيد من المال بسبب الديون من سأعود ، ولكن هذا الامر يبدو مثل فكرة جيدة حقا وأتمنى ان يكون جزءا منه.
So the government’s going to give us money, so we can give it to someone else, so they can buy something. لذا فان الحكومة سوف توفر لنا المال ، حتى نتمكن من اعطائها لشخص آخر ، حتى يتسنى لهم شراء شيء. Some where something is going to get bought, or it’s going to go toward something that has already been bought. بعض ما يجري فيها للحصول على شرائها ، او انها تذهب في اتجاه الذهاب الى ما سبق ان تم شراء اجهزة كمبيوتر.
If we’re going to buy something, what about spending it on things that will make it so we spend less money in the future. اذا نحن ذاهبون لشراء شيء ، وماذا عن الانفاق على الاشياء التي ستجعل ذلك اقل اننا ننفق الأموال في المستقبل. (Then theoretically we might have even more money to give away.) (ثم من الناحية النظريه قد يكون لدينا المزيد من المال لاعطاء بعيدا.)
What about spending it on a kitchenaid mixer with attachments so it’s easier to make our own bread, make homemade meals with nice salads, etc.? وماذا عن الانفاق على انها kitchenaid الخلاط مع المرفقات حتى اصبح من السهل لجعل منطقتنا الخبز ، وتقديم الوجبات المنزلية مع نيس سلطات ، وما الى ذلك؟ A pressure cooker so you can cook more beans? ضغط طباخ بحيث يمكنك كوك اكثر من الفول؟ Or how about a bike, like those really cool velomobiles, so we don’t have to drive our cars in the winter or summer? أو ماذا عن دراجة ، مثل تلك التي velomobiles حقا بارد ، وذلك ليس لدينا ونحن على قيادة السيارات في الصيف او الشتاء؟ Or tools so we can change the oil in our car instead of taking it to the shop? او الادوات بحيث يمكننا تغيير النفط في سيارة بدلا من أخذه الى المحل؟ Or a sewing machine so we can make repairs easier or sew new clothes? او ماكينات الخياطه حتى يمكننا ان نجعل من الاسهل والاصلاحات sew او ملابس جديدة؟ Or tools so we can plant a garden? أدوات أو حتى نتمكن من حديقة النبات؟
Or how about that business idea you had? أو ماذا عن الاعمال التي كان عندك فكرة؟ Maybe this could be the seed money for a business that could hire the unemployed, underemployed, and disenfranchised? ربما يمكن ان تكون هذه الاموال للأعمال التجارية التي يمكن توظيف العاطلين عن العمل ، ناقصه ، والمحرومين؟
Or how about a solar battery charger and rechargeable batteries? أو عن كيفية شحن البطاريات الشمسيه وبطاريات قابلة لاعادة الشحن؟ A skylight for a dark room so you don’t have to turn on the lights? نافذة السقفيه ا لغرفة مظلمة وبالتالي لن تضطر الى تحويل الأضواء علي؟ A compost bin? أ السماد بن؟ Native plant species for the garden? أنواع النباتات لحديقة؟
Consumerism isn’t bad. الاستهلاكيه ليس سيئا. It’s the choices we make on what to buy that’s the problem. ومن الخيارات التي نتخذها على ما لشراء تلك المشكلة. The choices we make are the steering wheel to the economy. الخيارات التي نتخذها هي عجلة القيادة الى الاقتصاد. I’d like an economy that cared for the earth and the health of the people who lived there. ويهمني ان اشير الى ان اقتصاد لرعايه الارض وعلى صحه الناس من يعيشون هناك.
Not to be nitpicky, but consumerism IS bad…though consumption isn’t necessarily bad. لا يمكن nitpicky ، ولكن النزعه الاستهلاكيه سيئة… رغم ان الاستهلاك ليس بالضروره امرا سيئا. Consumerism is an ideology, hence the “ism.” الاستهلاك هو ايديولوجيا ، ومن هنا "ISM".
Nitpickiness aside, you make a good point. Nitpickiness جانبا ، وجعل لكم نقطة جيدة.
The irony of all this is that our government is borrowing the money and going further into debt (already over 9 trillion dollars) in order pass out these checks and get us to spend more. من المثير للسخريه في كل هذا هو ان حكومتنا اقتراض الأموال والذهاب الى المزيد من الديون (بالفعل اكثر من 9 تريليون دولار) من اجل تمرير هذه الضوابط ويوصلنا الى انفاق المزيد. And, at the same time the Fed is lowering interest rates so that we’re enticed to borrow even more and buy more stuff. و، وفي الوقت نفسه فان بنك الاحتياطى الفيدرالى الى خفض اسعار الفاءده حتى نحن enticed للاقتراض اكثر وشراء المزيد من الأشياء. This is Economic Bondage 101. وهذا هو عبوديه 101 الاقتصادى. Give some away and pay off your debt. بعيدا اعطاء بعض وسداد الديون الخاصة بك. “Owe no man anything but to love him.” "ندين اي شيء ولكن لا يوجد انسان على ان يحب له".
i love this post. انا احب هذه الوظيفة. and the comments. وتعليقات. these are great ideas. وهذه هي افكار عظيمة. in general I agree with Maria, let’s buy products that help us be productive rather than continually consumptive. في العام وانا اتفق مع ماريا ، ولشراء المنتجات التي تساعدنا في ان تكون مثمره باستمرار بدلا من الاستهلاكي.
It think it’sa great idea to give, some of it, a lot of it, or all of it away to something/someone not related to yourself. It'sa اعتقد انها فكرة عظيمة لاعطاء بعض منه ، الكثير من ، او كل شيء بعيدا الى / شخص لا صلة لنفسك. In other other words how can you really stimulate some economic growth elsewhere? وبعباره اخرى في غيرها من أنت حقا كيف يمكن حفز بعض النمو الاقتصادي في اماكن اخرى؟ It’s amazing what just a little bit of cash can do in providing clean water in a town that has no clean water (and how that stimulate an economy), or what it can do to provide education for people who don’t have any. ومن المدهش ما قليلا فقط من النقد يمكن ان تفعله في توفير المياه النقيه في بلدة ليس له أن المياه النظيفه (وكيف ان في تحفيز الاقتصاد) ، او ما يمكن ان تفعله لتوفير التعليم للمن الناس ليس لديها اي . One thing related to ourselves we are going to do is buy a used bike on craigslist for my wife (I’ve already got one) and get a baby-seat for the back, a nice cheap way to cut down on driving around pasadena. شيء واحد ذات الصلة لانفسنا وسيكون علينا ان نفعله هو ان تستخدم في شراء دراجة على craigslist لزوجتي (لقد قمت بالفعل حصلت على واحد) والحصول على مقعد للرضع من اجل العودة ، لطيفة طريقة رخيصة لخفض حول القيادة حول باسادينا. I think these are great ways to “stimulate the economy” even more then buying a huge flat screen tv at wal-mart which is what georgey would like for you to do now doubt. واعتقد ان هذه هي كبيرة في سبل "تنشيط الاقتصاد" اكثر بعد ذلك شراء شاشة مسطحة ضخمة في التلفزيون وول مارت georgey وهو ما نود ان لك ان نفعله الان موضع شك.
What about shattering the education/property-privilege ceiling that keeps folks in generational poverty? وماذا عن تحطيم التعليم / الامتياز - الحد الاقصى للملكيه التي تحافظ على اهل الفقر في الاجيال؟ — create a scholarship for someone to go to community college, converge 20-30 checks to help someone make the jump from renting to home ownership by paying the downpayment on a home -- انشاء منحة دراسيه لأحدهم على الذهاب الى كلية المجتمع ، وتتلاقى 20-30 الشيكات للمساعدة على جعل شخص من تأجير اذهب الى ملكيه المساكن عن طريق السداد downpayment على الصفحه الرئيسية
What about buying gardening tools or textbooks or new art supplies for local schools? وماذا عن شراء ادوات البستنه او الفن الجديد ، أو الكتب المدرسية واللوازم لالمدارس المحلية؟
What about asking area homelessness activists about someone they know who could use the money to get their foot in the door in the area of employment, addiction, renting, health education, organizing, or education? وماذا عن التشرد الناشطين في مجال السؤال عن شخص ما يعرف من الاموال يمكن ان تستخدم للحصول على والاقدام في الباب في مجال العمالة ، والإدمان ، تأجير ، والتثقيف الصحي ، وتنظيم ، أو التعليم؟
What about sponsoring a huge block party? وماذا عن رعايه ضخم كتلة الحزب؟
What about micro-finance loans? وماذا عن قروض تمويل المشاريع الصغيرة؟
What about sending a peacemaker to Iraq or Darfur? وماذا عن ارسال صانع السلام الى العراق او دارفور؟
What about paying off the school debt or book costs of a student in your church? وماذا عن سداد الديون او الكتاب المدرسي تكاليف الطالب الخاص بك في الكنيسة؟ In an age where debt and education are nearly synonymous, seeing a church help bring their own out of debt instead of lining their own pockets is immensely prophetic. في عصر حيث الدين والتعليم هي مرادف تقريبا ، ورؤية كنيسة يساعد في تحقيق خاصة بها للخروج من ازمة الديون بدلا من بطانة اموالهم الخاصة ومن كثيرا النبويه.

Almost two years ago, my closest friend moved back home to Austria. منذ ما يقرب من عامين ، انتقل بلدي أقرب صديق عودة الى الصفحه الرئيسية النمسا.
