la campagne de Jésus

John 1:34 nous informe que que Jésus est Dieu élisez. Élection. C'est un mot qui signifie différentes choses parmi les personnes différentes. Les calvinistes aiment le mot (si vous avez éprouvé la « élection » qu'il signifie que vous êtes dedans ; c'est l'un-élire qui vont à l'enfer). Mais de nos jours, le mot « élection » transforme le flash de Barack Obama ou de Hillary Clinton ou de mitaine Romney ou de John McCain en nos esprits.

Sous elle toute, la « élection » est au sujet de choix. Nous pensons à lui en tant que personnes d'une nation décidant ensemble qui les mènera. En jours avant le prétendu éclaircissement, le mot referrd de « élection » aussi au choix des chefs. Des chefs en ces jours ont été choisis par God, pas par des personnes. En ces jours, l'élection était presque toujours au sujet du choix de Dieu : choix des rois et le choix de qui était le « po »

John nous dit que Dieu a choisi Jésus pour mener ses personnes. Il est notre chef élu.  Il est le roi élu du royaume de Dieu.  Et comme les rois choisis de tout le Dieu, il a été oint (par Baptism de John), mais à la différence des rois précédents, il a été oint par l'esprit saint.

À la différence des élections de moderne-jour, Jésus est allé faire campagne ensuite il a été élu.  Il est sorti parmi les personnes réclamant le changement. Pour le repentir.  La question n'était pas si lui serait le roi. La question était : « qui allait être dans le royaume ? »

Appel de Jésus le' au repentir a plus en commun avec l'appel de Barack Obama pour le changement qu'il fait avec des appels évangéliques d'autel.  Message de Jésus le' est politique : J'apporte un nouveau régime. If you want to be a part of my administration, then you have to leave the old one. And so when Jesus went around calling people to repentance, it was like he was campaigning for change.  For a new administration—the administration of God.

Jesus begins his campaign in the margins, on the fringes of political and religious power:

When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee. Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali—to fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah:

“Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali,
the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan,
Galilee of the Gentiles—

the people living in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of the shadow of death
a light has dawned.”

From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

Repentance requires a training in a new way of life. This new way of life is called “discipleship.” It isn’t a simple choice, but a life one embraces. It is a complete shift to a new way of life. What we read in the gospels is Jesus’ training of his disciples into a new way: the Kingdom of God.  These 12 helped with the campaign.  They passed it on to others, who passed it onto others and now we are responsible for campaigning.

Jesus has been elected. And when we live in his new administration, we embrace a new way of life that comes into conflict with the old. As we embrace this new way, and experience the life-giving presence of the Spirit, we can go demonstrate and proclaim this new life. That is how we campaign for Jesus.
