the Jesus Campaign حملة يسوع ،

John 1:34 informs us that Jesus is God’s elect. يوحنا 1:34 يخبرنا ان يسوع هو الله المنتخب. Election. انتخاب. It is a word that means different things among different people. وهي كلمة تعني أشياء مختلفة فيما بين مختلف الشعوب. Calvinists love the word (if you’ve experienced “election” it means that you’re in; it is the un-elect that go to hell). الحب كلمة الكالفيني (اذا كنت قد شهدت "انتخاب" وهو ما يعني ان كنت في انها المنتخب للامم المتحدة ان اذهب الى الجحيم). But these days, the word “election” makes Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton or Mitt Romney or John McCain flash into our minds. ولكن في هذه الايام ، فان كلمة "انتخاب" يجعل باراك اوباما او هيلاري كلينتون أو القفاز او Romney جون ماكين فلاش الى اذهاننا.

Underneath it all, “election” is about choice. تحت كل ذلك ، "انتخاب" عن الاختيار. We think of it as the people of a nation deciding together who will lead them. ونحن نعتقد انه ما من شعب أمة معا من اتخاذ قرار يؤدي لهم. In the days before the so-called Enlightenment, the word “election”also referrd to the choosing of leaders. في الأيام التي سبقت ما يسمى التنوير ، فإن كلمة "الانتخاب" كما referrd لاختيار القادة. Leaders in those days were chosen by God, not by people. القادة في تلك الايام هي التي اختارها الله ، وليس من قبل الشعب. In those days, election was almost always about God’s choice: choice of kings and the choice of who was “in.” في تلك الأيام ، على الدوام تقريبا في الانتخابات عن اختيار الله : اختيار الملوك واختيار من هو "فيه."

John tells us that God chose Jesus to lead his people. جون يقول لنا ان الله اختار يسوع على قيادة شعبه. He is our elected leader.  He is the elected King of God’s Kingdom.  And like all God’s chosen kings, he was anointed (by John’s Baptism), but unlike previous Kings, he was anointed by the Holy Spirit. وقال انه لدينا هو الزعيم المنتخب وهو انتخاب ملك مملكة الله. ومثل كل الملوك الله المختار ، وقال انه anointed (معموديه يوحنا) ، ولكن على عكس الملوك ، وقال انه anointed من الروح.

Unlike modern-day elections, Jesus went campaigning after he was elected.  He went out among the people calling for change. وخلافا للانتخابات في العصر الحديث ، ذهب يسوع الحملات الانتخابية بعد ان تم انتخاب. خرج بين الناس الدعوة الى التغيير. For repentence.  The question wasn’t whether or not he would be the King. للتوبة. المساله ليست ما اذا كان أو لا يكون هو الملك. The question was: “who was going to be in the Kingdom?” والسؤال المطروح هو : "من كان سيكون في المملكه؟"

Jesus’ call to repentance has more in common with Barack Obama’s call for change than it does with evangelical altar calls.  Jesus’ message is political: I’m bringing in a new regime. يسوع الدعوة الى التوبه ولقد أكثر مشتركة مع باراك اوباما دعوة للتغيير مما لا يدعو الى المذبح مع الانجيليه. يسوع رسالة سياسية : انا في احلال نظام جديد. If you want to be a part of my administration, then you have to leave the old one. اذا كنت تريد ان تكون جزءا من ادارتي ، ثم عليك ان تترك القديم. And so when Jesus went around calling people to repentance, it was like he was campaigning for change.  For a new administration—the administration of God. وحتى عندما ذهب يسوع حول دعوة الناس للتوبة ، وكان عليه وقال انه بحملة من اجل التغيير. ادارة جديدة للادارة - الله.

Jesus begins his campaign in the margins, on the fringes of political and religious power: يسوع يبدأ حملته في الهوامش ، على هامش السلطة السياسية والدينية :

When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee. وعندما سمع يسوع ان يوحنا قد وضع في السجن ، قال انه انسحب الى الجليل. Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali—to fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah: ترك الناصرة ، توجه ويعيشون في capernaum ، الذي كان من بحيره في مجال زيبيولون - وnaphtali لاستيفاء ما قيل عن طريق اشعيا النبي :

“Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, "ارض ارض وزيبيولون naphtali ،
the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan, الطريق من البحر ، خارج الأردن ،
Galilee of the Gentiles— الجليل للالوثنيون -

the people living in darkness الناس الذين يعيشون في الظلام
have seen a great light; وقد شهدت كبرى ضوء ؛
on those living in the land of the shadow of death على اولئك الذين يعيشون في أرض ظلال الموت
a light has dawned.” لقد بزغ فجر خفيفة ".

From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” ومنذ ذلك الوقت بدأ يسوع على الوعظ ، "توبة ، لمملكة السماء قد حان القريب".

Repentance requires a training in a new way of life. التوبه ويتطلب التدريب في طريقة جديدة للحياة. This new way of life is called “discipleship.” It isn’ta simple choice, but a life one embraces. هذه الطريقة الجديدة في الحياة يسمى "التلمذه". Isn'ta بسيطة وهي اختيار ، وانما يشمل الحياة واحد. It is a complete shift to a new way of life. وهو تحول كامل لطريقة جديدة للحياة. What we read in the gospels is Jesus’ training of his disciples into a new way: the Kingdom of God.  These 12 helped with the campaign.  They passed it on to others, who passed it onto others and now we are responsible for campaigning. ما نقراه في الانجيل هو يسوع التدريب من التوابع الى طريقة جديدة : مملكة الله. 12 وساعد مع هذه الحملة. مروا على أنها للآخرين ، من انه مر على الاخرين والان نحن المسؤولين عن الحملات الانتخابية.

Jesus has been elected. وقد تم انتخاب السيد المسيح. And when we live in his new administration, we embrace a new way of life that comes into conflict with the old. وعندما كنا نعيش في مهمته الجديدة ، الادارة ، ونحن اعتناق طريقة جديدة للحياة ان يأتي في حالة صراع مع القديم. As we embrace this new way, and experience the life-giving presence of the Spirit, we can go demonstrate and proclaim this new life. ونحن احتضان هذه الطريقة الجديدة ، والتجربه الواهبه للحياة وجود الروح ، يمكننا ان نذهب الى اظهار هذا وتعلن حياة جديدة. That is how we campaign for Jesus. هذه هي الطريقة التي نحن حملة ليسوع.
