اللا سابق له "[إمرجنغ]" سيطلق كنيسة عضو في جماعة البروتستنت الأمريكية على ديسمبر - كانون الأوّل [23رد] خارج صحيحة كولومبوس, أوهايو. يمزج الكنيسة, يدعوبنفسي "سليمان هري" [كتّينغ دج] عبادة مع أحاسيس عضو في جماعة البروتستنت الأمريكية. يصدق قسيسه, يعقوب [يودر] (الذي يفضّل أن يكون دعات "[جي]") أنّ [أميش] يستطيع علمت من [إمرجنغ] أساليب العبادة. يقول "نحن يتأهّب ل شيء جديدة… شيء طازجة," قسيس [جي].

عندما يسأل حول مصادره الشهيق, قسيس استجاب [جي] (الذي يرتدي [سول-بتش] [إينستد وف] لحية تقليديّة عضو في جماعة البروتستنت الأمريكية) ب يقول: "يعني أنا, هناك أنا كان, يقرّر مع `كنيسة بما أنّ معتادة' عندما أنا تعثّرت على الكتابات براين [مكلرن]. أنا [فلت] مثل كلمته كان أتى بشكل صحيح من ي خاصّة رأس, أنت تعرف? أنا حقّقت أنّ كان أنا شخص [بوستمودرن] عضو في جماعة البروتستنت الأمريكية… أنا يحتاج أن يرفض [بر-مودرنيسم] لأكثر إيمان أصيلة."

يعكس عبادة في سليمان هري تقاليد عضو في جماعة البروتستنت الأمريكية… مثلا, الرجال ونساء أجلست على حدة, غير أنّ [إينستد وف] مقصورات, المجموعة يجلس على أرائك في هم عبادة [سبس-ا] يجدّد هري. يرتدي نساء بعد أغطية رئيسيّة, غير أنّ كثير من الأغطية يتلقّى رقاع يزرع داخل هم أنّ رأي "آخر عالم يمكن" أو "يسوع كان بلا مأوى." كثير من العبادة أغنيات معاصرة [أميش] فرقعة نغم ببساطة مع [لريكس] مبجّلة يضاف. وبينما [أميش] عبادة خدمات يتلقّى دائما يستعملون [كندلس-ور] [لنترنس-ثيس] ورك جديدة, يكسو كنيسة عضو في جماعة البروتستنت الأمريكية قماش سوداء حول ملجأهم مؤقّتة.

While many young people are excited about a new church, just for them, not everyone is happy with these changes. Hiram Grebel–a local Amish Bishop–believes that this new “emerging” church is coming close to heresy: “This is just a neo-English cult.”

Pastor Jay isn’t worried: “There are a number of us who are embracing a post-Amish understanding of our faith. Things are changing, and we need to be relevant to young, post-modern Amish young adults.”

Director of Emergent, Tony Jones, agrees: “There are vibrant new communities emerging from many denominations. Controversy comes with the territory. I think what Jay is doing is great. He’s the future of the movement.”

    Traditionally, Yoders are Mennonite or Amish. Though I am sure that not all Yoders of the past are Anabaptists. And, of course, some Yoders have left the Mennonite church over the years.
