I appreciate it. Soy consciente de ello. It looks like I’ll be flying out to NNU on the 5th of June and flying back on a red-eye flight on the morning of the 7th… Parece que ¡ya volaba a NNU el 5 de junio y el vuelo de regreso a los ojos rojos de vuelo en la mañana del 7 º…
I think it’ll be a good match, at least for now. Creo que va a ser un buen partido, al menos por ahora. I want something where I can teach and use both my quantitative and qualitative skills and right now it looks like I’ll be focused more on my quantitative skills at NNU. Quiero algo que me puede enseñar y utilizar tanto mi cuantitativos y cualitativos de las competencias y ahora parece que ¡ya se centró más en mis habilidades cuantitativas a unidad de animación. I also do want to teach Christian Political Economy someday, though it might be a number of years before such is offered at Christian universiteis/seminaries. As it is, I still hope that Bethel Sem can switch to having two Social Ethics and two Syst Theology classes, but the admin seems resistant to that and the theology profs aren’t too crazy about prepping for new classes. I’m guessing that Social Ethics classes require more prep-work as the key topics have a higher turn-around than with systematic theology and are more ideologically “hazardous”, alas! I’m enjoying the Great Giveaway as it is a nice middle-level theoretical ecclesiological book that is well tied to reflexion of practice. Estoy disfrutando del Gran Concurso, ya que es un buen nivel medio teórico eclesiológica libro que está muy vinculada a reflexión de la práctica. I’d emph more the biblical roots of liturgy if I were him and how most of the early Christians were illiterate so liturgy was even more important and shd be held on to. Me emph más la raíces bíblicas de la liturgia, si yo fuera él y cómo la mayor parte de los primeros cristianos eran analfabetos para que la liturgia es aún más importante y el desarrollo humano sostenible se celebrará los días.

The nature and role of the liturgy in the life of the church is perhaps the key area where David Fitch and I disagree. La naturaleza y el papel de la liturgia en la vida de la iglesia es quizás el área clave donde David Fitch y no estoy de acuerdo. Not a HUGE disagreement, mind you–but a disagreement none-the-less. No es un gran desacuerdo, cuenta usted, pero un desacuerdo ninguno de los de menos. I haven’t tried to engage him much on it (or really talked much about it in general) because Missio Dei is just in its begining stages of understanding liturgy. No he tratado de participar en él mucho más que (o realmente hablado mucho sobre esto en general) porque Missio Dei es sólo en su etapa inicial de entendimiento liturgia. We’re moving more in that direction, but without feeling tied to particular practices for their own sake. Estamos avanzando más en esa dirección, pero sin sentirse atado a determinadas prácticas por su propio bien. I don’t want to do something out of some misguided sense of ecumenical solidarity–instead I want us to explore liturgy as a way of acknowledging God’s presence in our community, as a way of shaping us into Christ’s likeness, and in a way that is informed by the Tradition (but not enslaved to it).
