My friend (and worthy blogging adversary) David (aka “dlw”) has صديقي (وجديره المدونات الخصم (ديفيد (يعرف ايضا باسم "dlw") stopped blogging توقفت المدونات . David is a brilliant economist/seminary student and it shows–he consistently (and intellegently) challenges me on this blog–most notably in my series “Church and State.” . راءعه ديفيد هو اقتصادي / الطالب والمدرسة - وهو يبين انه على الدوام (وintellegently) التحديات التي تواجه هذا بلوق لي - على الاخص في بلادي سلسلة "الكنيسة والدولة".

I think it’ll be a good match, at least for now. وأعتقد أنه سوف تكون مباراة جيدة ، على الأقل في الوقت الحالي. I want something where I can teach and use both my quantitative and qualitative skills and right now it looks like I’ll be focused more on my quantitative skills at NNU. أريد شيئا حيث يمكن استخدام كل وعلم بلادي الكميه والنوعيه والمهارات والآن يبدو أن انا سأكون اكثر تركيزا على كمية بلادي المهارات في nnu. I also do want to teach Christian Political Economy someday, though it might be a number of years before such is offered at Christian universiteis/seminaries. كما انني لا اريد ان علم الاقتصاد السياسي المسيحي يوما ما ، على الرغم من انه قد يكون من عدد من السنوات قبل ان يقدم على مثل هذه المسيحيه universiteis / المدارس. As it is, I still hope that Bethel Sem can switch to having two Social Ethics and two Syst Theology classes, but the admin seems resistant to that and the theology profs aren’t too crazy about prepping for new classes. كما هي ، وما زلت آمل ان بيثيل ووزاره شؤون المراه يمكن ان التحول الى وجود اثنين من الأخلاقيات الاجتماعية واثنين من الطبقات syst اللاهوت ، ولكن يبدو ان مقاومه للادارة ان لاهوت وprofs ليست مجنونة جدا عن الاستعداد للطبقات جديدة. I’m guessing that Social Ethics classes require more prep-work as the key topics have a higher turn-around than with systematic theology and are more ideologically “hazardous”, alas! انا التخمين ان الاخلاق الطبقات الاجتماعية تحتاج الى مزيد من العمل الاعداديه - المواضيع الرئيسية بنسبة أعلى مما كان بدوره - حول منهجيه مع اللاهوت واكثر ايديولوجيا "الخطره" ، للأسف!
At any rate, I am really enjoying the book, you recommended to me, “The Great Giveaway” and do hope to join a house church in Idaho. وعلى أية حال ، أنا فعلا يتمتع الكتاب ، وكنت اوصي لي : "الهبه الكبرى" وأمل ان تفعل في الانضمام الى الكنيسة في بيت ايداهو.

It’s looking good for Idaho and I’m hoping to be part of a house church in Nampa there. انها تبحث جيدة لايداهو وانا على امل ان يكون جزءا من كنيسة في بيت Nampa هناك.
I’m enjoying the Great Giveaway as it is a nice middle-level theoretical ecclesiological book that is well tied to reflexion of practice. انا الكبيرة التي تتمتع الهبه كما هو لطيف من المستوى المتوسط النظريه ecclesiological جيدا ان الكتاب مرتبطة انعكاسيه من الناحية العملية. I’d emph more the biblical roots of liturgy if I were him and how most of the early Christians were illiterate so liturgy was even more important and shd be held on to. انا اكثر emph الانجيليه جذور القداس واذا كان لي ، وكيف له اكثر من المسيحيين الاوائل هم من الأميين القداس حتى اكثر اهمية التنمية البشريه المستدامة والذي سيعقد في ل.

The nature and role of the liturgy in the life of the church is perhaps the key area where David Fitch and I disagree. طبيعه ودور القداس في حياة الكنيسة وربما كان المجال الرئيسي فيها ديفيد فيتش وانا اختلف. Not a HUGE disagreement, mind you–but a disagreement none-the-less. لا خلاف ضخم ، واعتبارها - ولكن هل وجود خلاف - لا شيء - فإن أقل من ذلك. I haven’t tried to engage him much on it (or really talked much about it in general) because Missio Dei is just in its begining stages of understanding liturgy. لم احاول الدخول اليه كثيرا على انه (أو في الحقيقة الكثير عن انه تحدث فى العام) بسبب missio dei فقط في المراحل الاولى من التفاهم القداس. We’re moving more in that direction, but without feeling tied to particular practices for their own sake. نحن اكثر تتحرك في هذا الاتجاه ، ولكن من دون الشعور مرتبطة ولا سيما الممارسات لذاتها. I don’t want to do something out of some misguided sense of ecumenical solidarity–instead I want us to explore liturgy as a way of acknowledging God’s presence in our community, as a way of shaping us into Christ’s likeness, and in a way that is informed by the Tradition (but not enslaved to it). أنا لا أريد أن تفعل شيئا من الاحساس بعض المضللين - وبدلا من التضامن في مجلس الكنائس العالمي ، واريد لنا لاستكشاف القداس كوسيله من الاقرار بوجود الله في مجتمعنا ، كوسيله لتشكيل بنا الى المسيح الشبه ، و في الطريقة التي تسير على هدي التقليد (ولكن ليس لأنه استرقاق).
