I was tempted to include some more recent posts, but I didn’t feel like I had enough distance from them, since they are still fresh in my mind. كنت اغراء لتشمل بعض الوظائف في الآونة الأخيرة ، ولكنني لم اشعر انني مثل ما يكفي من مسافه منها ، لأنها لا تزال حية في ذهني. Apparently my “reflections on evangelism” series isn’t exciting anyone enough for them to comment. ويبدو ان بلادي "تأملات في التبشير الملائكي" سلسلة ليست كافية لاثارة اي شخص منهم التعليق على الامر. Perhaps this means that one shouldn’t post anything like a class paper or notes for a class lecture online. ولعل هذا يعني انه لا ينبغي لأحد ان وظيفة أي شىء مثل ورقة فئة او مذكرات للفئة محاضرة على الانترنت. Every instance of this has ended in blog silence. كل هذا المثال قد انتهى في بلوق الصمت.

Let me take my reflections on evangelism into a new direction. واسمحوا لي أن اغتنم بلدي تأملات في التبشير الملائكي في اتجاه جديد. A couple months ago, I was walking across the Washington Avenue Bridge, which connects the U of M East Bank with the West Bank. قبل بضعة أشهر ، الاول كان يسير في شارع واشنطن عبر الجسر الذي يربط بين يو م من الضفة الشرقية مع الضفة الغربية. Ok–the classic “scare the hell outta ya’ will mean scaring Jesus inta ya’” approach. - موافق الكلاسيكي "الخوف الجحيم يا outta' يعني تخويف انتا يا يسوع "النهج. Does this really work, like ever? هل حقا هذا العمل ، شأنها في ذلك شأن أي وقت مضى؟ I wish someone would do a study on conversions among post-adolescents to determine reasons for conversion and also the extent to which fear was a motivation. واود ان تفعل ما من شأنه ان دراسة بشأن التحويلات بين المراهقين في مرحلة ما بعد لتحديد اسباب التحويل وايضا مدى الخوف الذي كان الدافع. I know sometimes children will convert from within strongly Christian systems out of a desire to avoid hell, but I’m not sure if I’ve ever met someone who was an adult who converted out of fear. وأنا أعرف بعض الاحيان وسوف تحويل الاطفال من داخل بقوة المسيحيه نظم انطلاقا من الرغبة لتجنب الجحيم ، ولكن لست متأكدا اذا كنت شخص من اي وقت مضى اجتمعت كان الكبار من تحويلها خوفا.

It is interesting that this display doesn’t mention Jesus. ومن المثير للاهتمام ان هذا العرض لا يذكر السيد المسيح.

Is the assumption that the non-Christian will get so scared that he or she will scribble down “Rom. هو افتراض ان المنظمات غير المسيحيه التي سيحصل عليها حتى انه خائف او هي خربشات الى اسفل "ذاكرة للقراءة فقط. 5:12″ and/or “Rev. 5:12 "و / او" القس 20:15,” proceed to run back to the dorm, go to www.biblegateway.com and then look up these two verses in order to discover a way to escape coming wrath? 20:15 ، "لتشغيل المضي قدما في العودة الى المسكن ، اذهب الى www.biblegateway.com وبعد ذلك بالبحث عن هذين الآيات لاكتشاف وسيلة للهروب غضب المقبلة؟ That is a lot to expect of a casual passerby. وهذا هو ان نتوقع الكثير من عارضة عابر السبيل.

Reflections on Evangelism 4: Bringing evangelism back to the Church تأملات في التبشير الملائكي 4 : التبشير الملائكي تحقيق العودة إلى الكنيسة

Evangelism is always ecclesio-centric, because the church is both expression and interpreter, embodiment and witness. الكرازه هي دائما ecclesio - centric ، لأن الكنيسة هي التعبير والمترجم على حد سواء ، وتجسيدا لالشاهد. So then, this is what we?re trying to do at Missio Dei: We?re limiting our witness to a particular geographical area, and attempting to live as much of our life there as possible. حتى ذلك الحين ، وهذا ما نحن؟ اعادة تحاول ان تفعل في missio dei : ونحن؟ اعادة تحديد لدينا كشاهد على منطقة جغرافيه معينة ، وتحاول ان تعيش اكبر قدر من حياتنا هناك قدر الامكان. We both invite them to join us in our community?s practices, but also go out to establish friendships with people wherever they are. ونحن على حد سواء ادعوهم الى الانضمام الينا في مجتمعنا؟ ق الممارسات ، ولكن ايضا من الخروج الى اقامة صداقات مع الناس اينما كانوا. We are trying to live as though the most important thing we can do as a community is be PRESENT-and thereby Christ?s presence is mediated through us (after all, we are a nation of priests)–and then to narrate the ways in which we see God at work in the world-past, present, and future. ونحن نحاول ان يعيش كما لو كان اهم ما يمكننا القيام به ، كمجتمع ، ان يكون - وهذا مما المسيح؟ دا هو وجود وساطة من خلال علينا (على كل حال ، نحن أمة من الكهنه) - وبعد ذلك ان يروي الطرق الذي نرى الله في اماكن العمل في العالم - ماضيا وحاضرا ومستقبلا.

Reflections on Evangelism 3: Understanding the Gospel تأملات في التبشير الملائكي 3 : فهم الانجيل

Evangelism flows out of one?s understanding of the Gospel. التبشير الملائكي التدفقات من أصل واحد؟ دا فهم الانجيل. When Jesus proclaimed the Good News, he said it was that the kingdom is here. يسوع عندما أعلنت أنباء طيبة ، وقال : لقد كانت تلك هي هنا في المملكه. And when Paul re-affirmed the Good News, he pointed to the Cross and the Resurrection, and to Christ’s continued presence by his Spirit–so that through these events we can experience a reconciled relationship with God. وعند اعادة بول اكدت انباء طيبة ، واشار الى الصليب والقيامة ، والى استمرار وجود المسيح بروحه - حتى انه من خلال هذه الاحداث يمكن ان تعاني من التوفيق بين علاقة مع الله. And if we, the Church, are to be people of the Gospel (evangelicals in the truest sense of the word)…then we need to not only proclaim the Good News, but live as though it were true. واذا كنا لا نريد ، والكنيسة ، هي ان الناس من الانجيل (الانجيليين في الحقيقى للكلمة من معنى)… ثم نحن بحاجة ليس فقط الى اعلان انباء طيبة ، ولكنه يعيش كما لو كان صحيحا. The reason that we are given an entire Testament in which to discover the Gospel is that there are many terrifying and beautiful implications to the reality that God is among us. والسبب في أننا وبالنظر الى شهادة كاملة في اكتشاف التي الانجيل هو ان هناك العديد من الاثار الجميلة والمرعبه على حقيقة ان الله هو بيننا. Our being and doing and proclaiming all should point to the presence of God among us. ويجري العمل لدينا والذي اعلنت جميع وينبغي ان تشير الى وجود الله بيننا. And that is why we, the Church, exist-to proclaim and embody the Presence among us. وهذا هو السبب في اننا ، والكنيسة ، واعلان وجود - وتأتى تجسيدا لوجودها بيننا.

If the Gospel is God?s Triune presence among us, then what evangelism is, in my estimation, is first a matter of embodying Christ?s presence in our world (with all of its Sermon on the Mount goodness). اذا الانجيل هو الله؟ ق الثالوث وجودها بيننا ، ثم ما هو التبشير الملائكي ، في تقديري ، هو اولا مسألة تجسد المسيح؟ دا وجود في عالمنا (مع جميع شركائه في عظة الجبل الخير). What people are hungry for, I believe, is a deeply spiritual way of life-not a set of beliefs that if believed, secures salvation. ما هي الشعب الجائع ل، على ما اعتقد ، هو الطريق الروحي العميق للحياة ليست مجموعة من المعتقدات أنه إذا كان يعتقد ، ويؤمن الخلاص. We need to re-root our understanding of the Church in our understanding that the Church participates within the Triune life of God-that we participate in his mission into the world and we participate in Christ?s worship of God-all of this made possible by the Holy Spirit. نحن بحاجة الى اعادة الجذر فهمنا للكنيسة في فهمنا ان تشارك داخل كنيسة الثالوث حياة الله - ان نشارك في مهمته في العالم ونحن نشارك في المسيح؟ ق عبادة الله - كل ذلك ممكنا من الروح.
We need to move beyond seeing evangelism as merely an activity-of communicating a set of universalized disembodied truths. ونحن بحاجة الى التحرك أبعد من مجرد رؤية التبشير الملائكي - اي نشاط للاتصال العالمي على مجموعة من الحقائق disembodied. Instead, we need to explore the ways in which we can embody the Gospel and have evangelism be the outward communication of that embodiment. وبدلا من ذلك ، فاننا بحاجة الى استكشاف الطرق التي يمكن ان ينطوي على الانجيل والتبشير الملائكي وقد يكون الاتصال من الخارج لأنه تجسيد.
