a second quick post from Urbana 06 ما بعد ثانية سريعه من اوربانا 06

My particular job at Urbana is to be the “clicker” at dinnertime. بلدي وظيفة معينة في اوربانا هو ان يكون "الفرس" في وقت العشاء. In other words, I will be the one standing at the door counting all 23,000 people as they come through the door. وبعباره اخرى ، سوف يكون أحد نقف على ابواب 23000 عد كل الناس لأنها تأتي من خلال الباب. Good times. الاوقات الطيبة. Yesterday, I was trained into my job. أمس ، كنت في تدريب عملي. After training and dinner, I attended the main session, which was a line by line commentary of Ephesians 1:1-14 by Ajith Fernando (National Director for Youth for Christ in Sri Lanka). وبعد التدريب وتناول العشاء ، وقد حضرت الدورة الرئيسية ، التي كانت سطرا سطرا من التعليق من قبل افسس 1:1-14 Ajith فرناندو (المدير الوطني للشباب من اجل المسيح في سري لانكا). Nevertheless, it is awesome seeing 23,000 people in one place. ومع ذلك ، فان رؤية مرعبه 23000 شخص في مكان واحد. And those faces aren’t homogeneous. وهذه الوجوه ليست متجانسه. I’ve been impressed by the diversity at Urbana. لقد كنت اعجب من جانب التنوع في اوربانا. Furthermore, I’m pleased by the bookstore. وعلاوة على ذلك ، أنا مسرور من قبل المكتبه. While there is certainly a global focus, the overall sense of Urbana is that God’s call can lead anywhere. وفي حين ان هناك بالتأكيد التركيز العالمي ، اوربانا الاحساس العام هو ان الدعوة الى الله يمكن ان تؤدى في اي مكان. There is no privileging of “foreign” missions over “domestic.” وليس هناك من يمنح امتياز "اجنبية" اكثر من بعثات "المحلية".

I’ll be attending only three sessions, because of my job responsibilities. انا سأكون حضور ثلاث جلسات فقط ، لأن من مسؤوليات وظيفتي. Here’s the sessions I’ll be attending: واليك دورات انا سأكون حضور :

3. Mission and Monasticism: Is this Ancient Form of Mission Reemerging? بعثة والرهبنه : هل هذا هو الشكل القديم للبعثة reemerging؟ (Scott Bessenecker) Slum Communities Major (سكوت bessenecker) مجتمعات الاحياء الفقيره الرئيسية

My reason for attending these tracks is to 1) go deeper in my understanding of engaging in urban mission as a neo-monastic community and 2) to meet others who are either doing such ministry or are interested in doing such ministry. بلدي السبب لحضور هذه المسارات هو 1) التعمق في فهمي للبعثة المشاركة فى المناطق الحضريه باعتبارها من المحافظين الجدد والمجتمع الرهبانيه 2) لمواجهة الآخرين من العمل اما ان تكون هذه الوزاره أو المهتمين به في هذه الوزاره.
