Bringing Peace and Love in a Broken World احلال السلام والمحبة في العالم مكسوره

In “Who Would Jesus Bomb” I wrote the following: في "من شأنه ان يسوع قنبلة" لقد كتبت ما يلي :

Jesus tells us to take up our cross and follow him. يسوع يقول لنا ان تتناول والصليب ، ونحن معه. If we love pacifist Jesus, we can?t simply extricate ourselves from the evil machine by agreeing that the machine is evil. اذا كان لنا ان حب سلمي يسوع ، يمكننا ان؟ ر ببساطة تخليص انفسنا من اله الشر من خلال الاتفاق ان الاله هو الشر. Nor can we be Christians simply by agreeing with a certain set of ideas. كما اننا لا نستطيع ببساطة ان المسيحيين من خلال الاتفاق مع مجموعة معينة من الافكار. If we want to identify with this Man who stands against evil (even as he absorbs the evil in his death) we must give ourselves to Him and his cause. واذا كنا نريد التعرف على هذا الرجل مع من يقف ضد الشر (حتى وهو يمتص الشر في وفاته) ويجب ان نعطي لانفسنا له وقضيته. We need to take up the cross. ونحن بحاجة الى تناول الصليب. We can?t simply avoid evil and injustice and unrighteousness, we must become peacemakers and lovebringers. يمكننا؟ ر ببساطة تجنب الشر والإثم والظلم ، يجب أن نصبح صانعي السلام وlovebringers.

How do we do that? كيف نفعل ذلك؟ Please comment with your ideas. I?ll come up with some ideas of my own for the next post. يرجى التعليق مع افكارك الاول؟ يرة لبنانيه الخروج ببعض الافكار من بلدي لمرحلة ما بعد المقبل.

My mind has been preoccupied with such ethical concerns for quite some time. وفي رأيي ان كانت مشغوله هذه الشواغل الاخلاقيه لفترة من الوقت. Truth be told, it is difficult to know how to actually bring peace instead of merely eschewing violence. والحقيقة ان يقال ، ومن الصعب معرفة كيفية احلال السلام في الواقع بدلا من مجرد تجنب العنف. It is difficult to bring love instead of merely standing against evil and hate and injustice. ومن الصعب احلال المحبة بدلا من مجرد الوقوف ضد الشر والحقد والظلم. And the sort of peacemaking and lovebringing I see attempted is often pretty weak. وهذا النوع من صنع السلام وانا انظر lovebringing محاولة ضعيفة الى حد ما في كثير من الاحيان. Worldly peace is the absence of conflict. السلام العالمية ، هي عدم وجود الصراع. Religious conservatives tend to see that peace can come through the wise use of violence. المحافظون الدينية تميل الى ان نرى ان السلام لا يمكن ان يتحقق عن طريق الاستخدام الحكيم للعنف. Religous liberals tend to think that peace can come through talk. الليبراليون الدينية نميل الى الاعتقاد بأن السلام لا يمكن ان يأتي من خلال الحديث. But peace isn’t the absence of violence or conflict, it is wholeness and fullness…completeness. ولكن السلام لا يعني غياب العنف أو الصراع ، ومن التمام والكمال… الكمال. Jesus shows us that peace comes from God. يسوع يبين لنا ان السلام يأتي من عند الله. Jesus brough peace by lovingly laying down his life. يسوع Brough بموده السلام عن طريق وضع حياته. He didn’t seek to end strife. وقال انه لا يسعى الى انهاء النزاع. He didn’t establish a utopian village far away from violence. وقال انه لا انشاء قرية خياليه بعيدا عن العنف. His peace was through being radically present, reflecting God’s presence, in the midst of injustice, hate, and wickedness. وسلام الله الذي كان يجري من خلال هذا جذريا ، مما يعكس وجود الله ، في خضم الظلم والكراهية والشر. If we are to truly defeat injustice and evil, we need to lovingly enter into injustice. اذا اردنا حقا هزيمة الظلم والشر ، نحن بحاجة الى الدخول في بموده الظلم.

How? كيف؟

I don’t think we’ll be able to bring peace into dark places unless we find those dark places and are willing to die in those dark places. لا اعتقد اننا سنتمكن من اجل احلال السلام فى اماكن مظلمة ما لم نجد تلك الاماكن المظلمه ، ونحن مستعدون للموت في تلك الاماكن المظلمه. We must embrace white martyrdom (giving up one’s life to live the simple life of the Gospel). ونحن يجب ان يشمل الابيض الاستشهادية (التخلي عن حياة احد بسيط هو ان تعيش حياة الانجيل). Chris Erdman (whose posts are pretty good lately) writes: كريس erdman (التي هي وظيفة جيد جدا في الاونة الاخيرة) كتب ما يلي :

It is that martyrdom we must pursue today. ومن الاستشهادية التي يجب علينا ان نسعى الى اليوم. We must form an alternative Christian witness against so much that popularly passes for Christianity. ونحن يجب ان تشكل بديلا عن المسيحيه ضد الكثير من الشهود ان يمر شعبيا لالمسيحيه. We must intentionally work to raise martyrs-not folks who are preoccupied with dying, but folk who are so preoccupied with life that death no longer holds power over them. ويجب علينا العمل على رفع عمدا الشهداء - لا من اهل مشغوله مع الموت ، وانما هم قوم من الحياة مشغوله حتى أن الموت لم يعد يحمل السلطة عليها. If and when that happens, we just might see a church on the earth. واذا وعندما يحدث ذلك ، ونحن للتو قد ترى الكنيسة على الارض.

Here are some of the ways to live out this sort of martyrdom: وهنا بعض الطرق ان يعيشوا خارج هذا النوع من الشهاده :

• We need to find the places where injustice and brokeness are most apparent and move in. We must relocate to the “abandon places” of the Empire (places where numbers of folks have fallen through the cracks). ونحن بحاجة الى ايجاد اماكن والظلم وbrokeness هي اكثر وضوحا والمضي قدما فيها ويجب علينا ان الانتقال الى "التخلي عن أماكن" للامبراطوريه (الاماكن التي تنتشر فيها اعداد من الناس قد انخفض من خلال الشقوق).
• We must lovingly confront those who do evil, seeking to transform them with the love of Christ. بموده ويجب علينا ان نفعل من مواجهة تلك الافه ، التي تسعى الى تحويل لهم من محبة المسيح.
• We must practice civil disobedience when we see an injustice. ويجب علينا ان ممارسة العصيان المدني عندما نرى ظلم.
• We must commit ourselves to prayer. ويجب أن نلتزم الصلاة.
• We must commit to speaking the truth and being transparent. ويجب ان نلزم تحدث الى لجنة الحقيقة والشفافيه.
• We must practice radical hospitality and receive the poor, the broken, and the victim into our homes. ويجب علينا ان الممارسه جذريه من كرم ضيافه واستقبال الفقراء ، المكسوره ، والضحيه الى بيوتنا. We mustn’t “outsource” hospitality, but share our lives with those in most need of wholeness. ويجب علينا الا "الاستعانة بمصادر خارجية" الضيافة ، ولكن حصة حياتنا مع تلك التي هي في امس الحاجة للكمال.
• We must live simply, pooling resources to bring healing to broken people and systems, rather than using those resources for luxury. يجب ان نعيش بكل بساطة ، وتجميع الموارد لتحقيق الشفاء لكسر الشعب ونظم ، بدلا من استخدام تلك الموارد لالترف.

What else can we do to live out a new white martyrdom in America? وماذا يمكننا ان نفعل ليعيشوا جديدة بيضاء الاستشهادية في أمريكا؟
