Cultivating Communities of Resitance Resitance المجتمعات المحلية للزراعة

One of my frustrations these days is how much crap is being published.  There are many good books being published, but some are just terrible.  Even people I respect have published books that are poorly written, with half-developed ideas.  I sometimes wonder if some people care more about writing a book than they care about having something to say.  I’ve daydreamed about writing a book–lots of us have.  But I only want to write a book if it really serves the church.  And I only want to do it if it is tastefully "packaged", non-hypey, and doesn’t reek of self-promotion. بلدي واحد من الاحباط هذه الايام هو كم الفضلات ويجرى حاليا نشر. وهناك العديد من الكتب الجيدة التي نشرت ، ولكن بعضها فقط فظيع. حتى انني احترم الناس قد نشرت في كتب خطية سيئة ، مع وضع الافكار نصف وانا اتساءل عما اذا كان في بعض الاحيان بعض الناس المزيد عن الرعايه تأليف كتاب عن رعايه اكثر مما لها أن تقول شيئا. لقد استغرق في احلام اليقضه عن تأليف كتاب - الكثير منا. ولكن أريد فقط ان اكتب كتاب اذا كانت حقا تخدم الكنيسة ، واريد فقط لذلك اذا كان بحسن ذوق "المعلبه" ، والمنظمات غير hypey ، ولا دخان من تعزيز الذاتي.

Every once in a while someone suggests that I write a book…a few times the person suggesting has been prominent or connected enough for me to think "I really could write a book if I wanted to." مرة واحدة في كل حين لشخص ما يشير الى ان اكتب كتاب… عدة مرات الشخص قد يوحي بارزة او متصله بما فيه الكفايه بالنسبة لي أن أعتقد "انا حقا يمكن ان يكتب كتاب اذا اردت". But up until this point, I am a bit ashamed to admit that I cared more about writing a book than I’ve cared about having something to say. ولكن حتى هذه النقطه ، انا قليلا تخجل ان نعترف بأن الاهتمام الاول المزيد عن كتابة كتاب من يهتم لقد قمت بعد ان تقول شيئا.

I really think I’m at a place where I have something to say, and could say it in a way that honors Christ.  The idea is this: Cultivating Communities of Resistance– a book written by practitioners who have struggled to help shape the local church into a faithful community which resists some of the "powers" in our culture.  Communities which resist racism, consumerism, poverty, etc.  I think a book like this should be written, offering real examples of communities that are trying to live out their faith.  And while I think I can contribute to this book (in the area of consumerism), the book would be much better if there were others contributing as well.  And so, I am actively looking for folks that are intersted in contributing to such a work. وانني اعتقد حقا انا في مكان لي أن أقول شيئا ، ويمكن القول انه في طريقه الى ان يكرم المسيح. والفكره هي هذه : زراعة المجتمعات المحلية من المقاومة - كتاب من قبل الممارسين من ناضل من اجل المساعدة في تشكيل المحلية كنيسة المخلص في المجتمع الذي يقاوم بعض "القوى" في ثقافتنا. المجتمعات المحلية التي تقاوم العنصريه والنزعه الاستهلاكيه ، والفقر ، وما اعتقد ان مثل هذا الكتاب ينبغي ان تكون مكتوبة ، وعرض أمثلة حقيقية للمجتمعات المحلية التي تحاول ان تعيش مهامهم الايمان. وبينما اعتقد انني يمكن أن يسهم هذا الكتاب (في مجال الاستهلاك) ، هذا الكتاب سيكون افضل بكثير اذا كان هناك اخرون المساهمة ايضا. وما الى ذلك ، وانا اتطلع لأهل بنشاط التي intersted في المساهمة في هذه عمل.
