Promoting the Consumerism Conference تشجيع النزعه الاستهلاكيه المؤتمر

The upcoming القادم conference on Christianity in a Consumer Culture مؤتمر حول المسيحيه في ثقافة المستهلك is coming together quite nicely.  In addition to having آت معا بشكل رائع جدا. وبالاضافة الى وجود Ron Sider رون sider , ، Sondra Wheeler Sondra ناقل , ، Rodney Clapp رودني clapp , and ، Vincent Miller فنسنت ميلر coming to be our main speakers, we have a number of breakout session leaders like المقبلة الى ان يكون هدفنا الرئيسي من المتكلمين ، ولدينا عدد من القادة مثل اندلاع الدورة Ryan Torma ريان torma from من Spirit Garage روح المرآب , ، Kevin Rains كيفن الامطار from من Vineyard Central وسط مزرعه العنب , ، David Fitch ديفيد فيتش from من Life on the Vine Christian Community الحياة على المجتمع المسيحي الكرمه (and author of (والمؤلف من the Great Giveaway الهبه العظيمة )…plus a number of others. But I need your help getting the word out.  We don’t have a very large promotions budget.  Our good friends at Emergent sent notice of the conference in their latest email newsletter, and a few bloggers are helping get the word out, but we need more help if we’re going to have the 200+ registrants needed to pay for the thing. ولكني في حاجة الى مساعدتكم للوصول الى كلمة. ونحن ليس لديها ميزانيه كبيرة جدا والترقيات. اصدقائنا في ارسال اشعار الطارئة للمؤتمر آخر في البريد الالكتروني الاخباريه ، وعدد قليل من المدونين تساعد في الحصول على كلمة ، ولكننا تحتاج للمزيد من المساعدة اذا نحن ذاهبون الى 200 + المسجلون اللازمة لدفع لشيء. Please help if you are at all sympathetic with the aims of the conference. الرجاء المساعدة اذا كنت في كل متعاطف مع أهداف المؤتمر.

Why should you care? لماذا يجب ان يهمك الامر؟ Well, if you’ve ever been frustrated by the ways in which consumerism and the consumer impulse make it hard to be Christian in this country or hard to do church in a way faithful to Jesus, then you know that consumerism is a HUGE problem that must be addressed by Christians.  And, if you’re like me, you’ve felt powerless and unsure of how to respond to the consumerism and materialism in our churches.  This conference is designed to get a bunch of excellent thinkers and a bunch of excellent "doers" in the same room (though most of our folks are a bit of both) to work through how we as Christians can live our faith out in this consumer culture of ours–a culture that makes it very difficult to live out the Gospel call. حسنا ، اذا كنت من اي وقت مضى الى احباط الطرق التي الاستهلاك والمستهلك الدافع تجعل من الصعب ان يكون مسيحيا في هذا البلد او من الصعب أن تفعل في الكنيسة بطريقة مخلصة ليسوع ، ثم انت تعرف ان الاستهلاك هو ان مشكلة هاءله يجب ان تكون موجهة من قبل المسيحيين. و، اذا كنت مثلي ، لقد قمت رأى عاجزه وغير متأكد من كيفية الاستجابة لالاستهلاكيه والماديه في كنائسنا هذا المؤتمر يهدف الى الحصول على مجموعة ممتازة من المفكرين ومجموعة من ممتاز "الفاعلون" في غرفة واحدة (رغم ان معظم من هم اهلنا قليلا على حد سواء) على العمل من خلال ونحن كمسيحيين كيف يمكن ان نعيش ايماننا في هذه الثقافة الاستهلاكيه للثقافة لنا - ان يجعل من الصعب جدا ان يعيشوا خارج فإن الدعوة الى الانجيل.
