Film not only gives expression to the American ethos, it shapes it. Film has shaped our ways of thinking on everything from الفيلم ليس فقط تعبير عن روح الشعب الامريكى ، ومن الاشكال. الفيلم شكلت لدينا طرق التفكير على كل شيء من
clothing fads to our view of God. It is the latter that we’ll discuss الملابس البدع لرأينا الله. ومن هذا الاخير ان سنناقش

God’s treatment in film has shifted as our culture has shifted. The الله في المعامله في الفيلم قد تحولت كما تحولت ثقافتنا. فأن

I think the movies that are best able to capture a sense of the divine are movies that are able to expertly explore human darkness. واعتقد ان السينما هي الأكثر قدرة على التقاط الاحساس الالهيه هي الافلام التي تكون قادرة على استكشاف الانسان بالخبره الظلام. For example, one of my favorite movies is the Shawshank Redemption. فعلى سبيل المثال ، احد الافلام المفضلة لدى وداعا شاوشانك. In order for us to get a glimpse of redemption via Tim Robbins’ character, we are taken through a series of events that stress confinement and wickedness: years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, constantly under the threat of molestation, etc. As we see the character successfully overcome the evil around him, we understand a bit more the nature of hope and the human spirit–faith if you will. لكي نتمكن من الحصول على لمحة عن الخلاص عبر تيم روبنز '، ونحن من خلال اتخاذ سلسلة من الاحداث التي تؤكد على الحبس والشر : عاما في السجن لجريمه لم ترتكب ، باستمرار تحت تهديد التحرش ، الخ . وكما نرى طابع النجاح في التغلب على الشر من حوله ، ونحن نفهم اكثر قليلا من الأمل في طبيعه الانسان وروح الايمان - اذا صح التعبير. I realize that the movie depicts a rather humanistic faith–faith in one’s self–but it gives us a glimpse of some sort of divinity, albeit a humanistic one. إنني أدرك أن الفيلم يصور الايمان - بل انساني واحد في الايمان نفسه ، ولكنه يعطينا لمحة عن نوع من اللاهوت ، وان كانت انسانية واحدة.

I’ve been wrestling lately with the concept of church.. انا كنت مصارعة مؤخرا مع مفهوم الكنيسة.. and for me it has boiled down to “presence.” But we have been wrestling with the concept because we are attempting to “be” the church in a way that is not readily validated. وبالنسبة لي فقد المغلي نزولا الى "الوجود". لكننا كنا المصارعه مع مفهوم لأن نحاول ان "يكون" في الكنيسة على نحو لا يسهل التثبت من صحتها.
