You may have noticed my new "tagline" for this blog. I’ve noticed that many people have dramatic sounding taglines stressing how important their blog is…I’d like to make the case for why my tagline shouldn’t be interpreted to fit into such a category (btw, many people conversely have overly-humble sounding taglines that stress how utterly postmodern they are). Você deve ter notado a minha nova "tagline" para este blog. Eu observei que muitas pessoas têm dramática auscultação taglines salientando quão importante é… seu blog que eu gostaria de fazer o caso do meu tagline razão pela qual não deve ser interpretada no sentido de caber em tal categoria (btw, muitas pessoas têm inversamente excessivamente humilde-auscultação taglines salientar que o modo como eles são absolutamente postmodern).
If you know me well, you know that I think intentionally cheesy things are pretty dang funny. The operative word is intentionally. My tagline is a bit funny to me because it sounds so darn dramatic, thus qualifying as intentional cheese. Se você conhece-me bem, você sabe que eu acho intencionalmente extravagante as coisas são bonitas dang funny. Operatório A palavra é intencionalmente. Beyond the humor of it (though many of you might not think its all that funny) the tagline is pretty descriptive. I think it is our job as Christians to incite allegiance to Jesus Christ. Notice that I don’t advocate rebellion against the world. It is one’s allegiance to Christ that should cause one’s subversiveness. I think the church of my generation (I’m 29) sometimes blurs their counter-cultures, linking allegiance with Christ with elements of style. Notice also that I’m emphasizing the distinction between the church and society rather than our commonality. This is intentional. I have more in common with the anabaptist branch of Christianity than any other branch…and this tagline expresses some anabaptist influences. Tenho mais em comum com o Anabaptista ramo do Cristianismo do que qualquer outro ramo… e esta tagline Anabaptista manifesta algumas influências.
Finally, I do think the world has gone mad. Allegiance to Christ is sanity. The funny thing about that is to the world, Christianity seems foolish (at least it should if we’re doing it right). Por último, eu acho que o mundo tem enlouquecido. Fidelidade a Cristo é sanity. O engraçado é que a coisa sobre o mundo, parece insensato cristianismo (pelo menos, ele deve se nós estamos fazendo isso direita).

Interesting tagline, I’d qualify it, though by adding that all societies throughout time have been “mad” in the sense that they all offer challanges and oppertunities to follow the Lord. Tagline interessante, eu classificá-lo, porém, acrescentando que todas as sociedades em todo momento têm sido "loucas", no sentido de que todas as grandes opções e oferecer oppertunities a seguir o Senhor. The Middle Ages was just as “mad” as the Golden Age of Greece, or the Victorian Era. A Idade Média era apenas como "loucos", como a Idade do Ouro da Grécia, ou da era Vitoriana.
