A Christmas Poem قصيدة عيد الميلاد.

I don’t write much poetry, but I wrote the following as an act of worship to our Lord: أنا لا أكتب الشعر كثيرا ، ولكني كتبت ما يلي بوصفه عملا من أعمال العبادة لربنا :

Ode to a Forgotten Babe قصيدة الى منسيه Babe

When Yuletide bliss عيد الميلاد المسيحي عندما النعيم

forgets ينسى

the somber tone of Deity enfleshed, فإن لهجة somber الآلة enfleshed ،

and when gaiety thick وعندما المرح سميكة

stifles يخنق

contemplation of the odorous manger; التأمل من مدير odorous ؛

when all the world عندما كافة انحاء العالم

tethers الحبال

the numinous to a pine bough, وقد خشوعي الى الفرع الصنوبر ،

We will remember you, وسنتذكر لكم ،

We will make room for you. وسوف نبذل غرفة لك.

We will wonder at you. ونحن سوف يتساءل عليك.
