بارزة في ال [توين ستي]

دايفيد [أبدربك] (الذي أنا فقط أضفت إلى [بلوغرولّ] ي) يسألني لما ال [توين ستي] يبدوون أن يكون بنشاط تضمّنت في البارزة/[ميسّيونل] حوار. أنا أفكّر يتلقّى نحن كثير كثير تأثير من السّكاننا ضمن. هنا أفكاري حول لما نحن نكون هذا تربة خصيبة ل [ميسّيونل]/نقاشة بارزة:
- نحن نتلقّى رقم عال من مؤسسات أكاديميّة ل [متروبوليتن را] نا صغيرة نسبيّا. يريق النكهة أكاديميّة على داخل كيف نحن "نتمّ" كنيسة.
- [بثل] و [لوثر] [سمينري] كلا عاملات. [بثل] يتلقّى بعض مساهمة إلى الجانب بارزة أشياء (أروين [مكمنوس] ملحق مع [بثل]). [لوثر] يسهم إلى ال [ميسّيونل] جانب الأشياء ([كريغ] [فن] [جلدر] جزء من البشارة ونا ثقافة شبكة وأستاذة في [لوثر]).
- نحن نتلقّى ال [هيغست] [بر-كبيتا] رقم من كنائس [مغ] في البلد. أنا أفكّر أنّ بما أنّ الناس يحصلون يحرف مع هذا, يتحرّك هم نحو أشكال بديلة. بما أنّ نحن نتلقّى كثير [مغ-شرشس] أن يحرّرنا, هو يبدو منطقيّة أنّ نحن? [د] يتلقّى أكثر كنائس بارزة [بورن] من أنّ [ديسلّوسونمنت].
- نحن "زرقاء" دولة. [أوربن را] نا جدّا تقدّميّة, غير أنّ مع الإطار من قيم من الغرب الأوسط ثقافيّة. هذا يعني أنّ نحن? [لّ] قيمة كنيسة, غير أنّ نحن? [لّ] يتمّ هو في طريق تقدّميّة. تقليديّا, قد عنى أنّ رقم عال من ليبراليّة [مينلين] كنائس, مهما, كثير يختار لطرق بارزة من يتمّ كنيسة.
- كان [دووغ] [بغّيتّ] رائدة في الحركة بارزة, وهو يحدث أن يكون [لوك] فتى. فضلا عن سليمان رواق, قد تلقّى نحن مثل مبكّرة جدّا من كنائس بارزة, مثل كحول مرأب ومنزل الرحمة.

I would add what could be taken as a somewhat negative reason: we have lots of white people. We still have one of the highest majority populations of white people in the country, and the emergent movement has been a largely white movement, although of course I know there are noteable exceptions.
I think that the ethos of the Twin Cities is liberal and geared towards social justice. Emergent churches are concerned with social justice, therefore we have a lot of emergent churches around here.
To respond to Chris’ whities statement, there is also a growing missional church movement around here, even including some of the ‘mega’ churches such as Park Ave Methodist and Bethlehem Baptist, who are both fairly diverse. Mega churches such as Woodland Hills (Greg Boyd) and Bethlehem Baptist (John Piper) are both trying to embrace ecclesial multiculturalism. Chris may think that they may have a ways to go in some respects, but at least they’re trying.
